| ### Plant Introduction Rhapis humilis is an evergreen shrub belonging to the genus Rhapis in the Arecaceae family. It has a compact plant shape with slender, pinnately divided leaves that are bright green and glossy. It exudes an elegant tropical charm and has excellent shade tolerance. It is suitable for use as an indoor potted plant to adorn spaces and can also be planted in semi-shaded outdoor areas for landscaping purposes. ### Care Instructions 1. **Lighting**: It prefers a semi-shaded environment and should be kept away from direct strong sunlight. When placed indoors, it can be positioned in a cool spot with good lighting. 2. **Watering**: Keep the potting soil moist but not waterlogged. In summer, appropriately spray water on the leaves to increase humidity, and reduce the amount of watering in winter. 3. **Soil**: Choose loose, well-drained, acidic sandy loam that is rich in organic matter. 4. **Fertilization**: Apply a dilute liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season, and stop fertilizing in winter. 5. **Temperature**: The optimal growth temperature is 18-28°C. It has weak cold tolerance and needs to be kept at a temperature above 5°C in winter. |
